Welcome back, Shwag! Though ATI commands massive power, I like nVidia's creativity (so sue me) - I voted for nVidia Smile

I dont know. I haven't seen much of the the ATi one just yet, as for nVidia, double the 9800xt in 3dmark03 impresses me.

Basically, they just doubled the pipelines, that's it. I think ATi Should quadruple their current pipelines to a total of 32, then own up nVidia Razz

How can you decide when the R420 if the NDA isn't even lifted yet? I think NV did an awesome job w/ the NV40 but we have to see how well ATI did with the r420, the fact that nv40 has FP32 compared to R420 at FP24 may help NV out. Also NV supports PS/VS 3.0, it alows very very long strings of shader information as compared to PS2.0 that requires it to be broken up.
But dont count ATI out, I'm the XT is going to be very comparable to the 68U and I'm sure NV also will get better yields as time goes on and may be able to raise the core clocks of the NV40 which will give it some more speed.

Now the contest is tied! LOL

I voted for ATi.

But I think this time NV did a awesome job on the nV40. It's a lot of improvement from the nv3x.
And the PS/VS 3.0 support will give NV a little advantage more ahead.
But I can't wait to see the R420, see how it will perform.
