UPDATE: Sam from our staff filled me in with an update from this article. Apparently Microsoft has pushed back the delivery schedule to appease some high-end clients. The scheduled delivery for SP2 on XP Pro machines is now August 25th.
On August 16th the individual version of Microsoft's SP2 for the Windows XP operating system was to be released. However many XP users have noted that their Automatic Update is not yet notifying them about the download. On the other hand, certain users such as PCSynapse member W-Mon are already being offered the service pack, as detailed in this thread.
Though this Microsoft article details that the Internet Firewall feature in Windows XP may prevent download of SP2 if enabled, I know personally that mine is not enabled and I still have not recieved it.
