I am unable to solve this problem, and am beginning to wonder if it is actually a hardware problem with my cd-rom.
It happens on my Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop running XP Home.
It happened first of all installing MapSource software for my garmin GPS (and as it was bought for travelling, not having it on the laptop meant I had to buy a large card to install all maps on). I can install this software on my main computer and Garmin did send me 3 new sets of software, always the same problem with the laptop.
Today I have installed another lot of software on my main computer, this time it was the ASCI Campsite software and routing info - fine on their, put it on the laptop so I can use it whilst travelling, which is what it is for....and same flipping error
Data1.cab error, could be corrupt....
So anyone any bright ideas, Garmin haven't been able to solve it, Dell haven't either, are any of you able?
