On June 02, 2003 , when PCSynapse.com was launched, the entire staff consisted of one person. But as the industry expands, so must this organization. Therefore we are calling on any individuals who think they have what it takes to be on a professional media publication team to sound off and let us know that you're interested! We are looking for individuals to fill in the positions listed below. But do not take this lightly - though reviewing hardware and doing investigative reporting can be extremely exciting, it also means serious work. It means adhering to a standard that we hold here at PCS , meeting deadlines, a serious commitment, but of course it also means having fun!

Reviewer
The PCSynapse reviewer is a professional individual - self motivated, self disciplined, but not selfish. The reviewer is a team player, but at the same time, also a leader. The majority of readers that visit this site will come to read reviews and evaluations. Therefore the reviewer must be highly articulate and vastly knowledgable in computer hardware.
- Have vast knowledge of computer hardware, the way it works, and previous experience with computers in general
- Must be motivated and reliable
- Usually has an up-to-date custom built system to review the latest hardware
- Latest components a plus (CPUs, Motherboards, Graphics Cards, RAM, etc.)
- Advanced testing equipment and components a plus
- Must submit writing samples and/or previous writing/reviewing experience
- Must review at least one already-owned computer component before recieving new products
- Must commit to stay on board for a certain amount of time

News Editor
The PCSynapse news editor is the truest practitioner of investigative reporting. Always alert and always familiar with the latest word or rumors in the industry, the news editor controls the spotlight of the front page. News articles are also used to cover the latest happenings.
- General knowledge of information sciences usually a plus
- Substantiated opinions always welcome
- Must be able to post news reliably and on a negotiable routine basis
- Must submit writing samples and/or previous writing experience
- Must submit a sample news article about a topic of interest (technology related).
- Tip: You are applying to be a reporter, so convince us that you are one. Choose a style of writing that suits you and exemplify it through your article.
